Easter Seals Bloomfest

Leeza and Amanda volunteered last week at Bloomfest, an annual fundraiser that raises money for Easter Seals by selling beautiful fresh cut tulips at various locations throughout the city.

They helped run the flower stand, put stickers on tulip wrappers, met some nice folks and picked out a bouquet of their own to take home at the end of the day.

Cards and Valentines!

Fun times! We had a card making party at Port City today.

Our friends and fellow community volunteers from Exceed Enterprises joined us.

 Some people made valentines for their sweethearts and friends.

Others chose to make cards to donate to Meals on Wheels.

 

Port City volunteers are delivering Meals on Wheels all month, so we'll be including some handmade valentines with people's hot lunches next week.

 Everyone's cards were so unique and beautiful!

Humane Society

We love volunteering at the Humane Society! 

 It was so cold today that instead of taking the dogs outside, we spent time with them inside the kennels. 

The guy above is Rex, proudly sporting one of the bandannas we made.

Mike with Boomer, who also loves to shake for treats.

The cats that Mike and Sunni helped socialize were rescued from a hoarding situation where there were 93 cats living together in one house.
